" We are people of the earth, weve come from the ground, and the ground is where we have always found a source to sustain ourselves and build our lives upon. "
"We need to connect with nature more.... I come to these gardens as much as I can when I feel things are getting too heavy"
"To come to a place this, its peaceful..../.... to witness others enjoying the same experience here as I am, is a great thing to see..... (we) spend too much time on our phones, everything is so instant... never meant to live like the way we do.."
"Growing up with land and a farming culture being outdoors comes naturally, I get restless when it's been too long"
Told me a story of a friend of his who works for one of the Big Three accounting firms, who lives in the city. His home is lovely and airy, but he never leaves work at work, it tends to follow him home along with the stresses of office life. So he built himself a small shed in this tiny paved garden and lifted some of the pavement to place beds of soil so he could garden. John refers to the shed as a 'man shed'. His friend would refer to the shed as his escape, a place to unwind and is aware of how much good it is doing for both his health and as a stress reliever.
- 'John', adventurer, creative and nature enthusiast. Visitor of the Botanical Gardens.
Wouldn't disclose his last name, and I actually believe John isn't his real name. Mysterious.
