P O W E R S C O U R T // A V I S I T I N P H O T O S
Dragged the whole family out to powerscourt townhouse to wander the grounds and explore the Japanese gardens. There were plenty of tourists about, and the townhouse which holds design/craft shops and an Avoca Cafe was buzzing. There really should be more places like this, national parks and sanctuaries.
Overheard visitors mention how lush the gardens and grounds felt, and how peaceful it felt. I noticed how the walking speed of tourists and visitors was extremely slow compared to how the pace of walking is in the city centre. There is definitely an effect on the body and mind to slow down, take a moment, and it does so without you consciously deciding to slow down.
