T H E L I B R A R Y P R O J E C T : P H O T O T R O P I S M

Kate and Jane told me about this exhibition on monday and that I may like it as it was to do with 'plants'.  I absolutely loved it, and its a pity it was not exhibition a few weeks ago as it could be really great research at an earlier stage in the development of my project. That being said, it turned out to be really beneficial still to visit it. I never caught the name of the man who was working yesterday, but himself and another assistant were so eager to hear about my project when I told them I was working with nature and used hydroponics the psychology of plants as inspiration. What came out of the conversation was the location of a shop on Capel street which specialise in hydroponics and air plants! Which is absolutely perfect because finding a reliable garden shop that sells a variety of air plants has been hard to find thats located in Dublin - the one Ive been buying from is based in kildare.

It was nice to see how much of an attraction the plants in the space was creating from people passing by the front window. Everything about the space was so peaceful and I got to read some gorgeous books in the library space on the second floor. Everything about this exhibition reinforces for me why my design direction has a niche, is plausible that it could become commercialised and once again further proof there very much is a desire for more nature.
